Lake Murray Cabins

Ardmore, Oklahoma

GH2 developed the conceptual design for a new recreational cabin at Lake Murray State Park. The concept for the proposed cabin was to interpret the existing historic cabins constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the early 20th century for a modern, functional lake cabin to be leased along with the existing lake cabins at Lake Murray State Park.

The proposed cabin was to be constructed using conventional stick framing, clad in regional stone and wood siding. The cabin was positioned on site to enhance views to the lake and limit sun exposure into the interior. The accessible cabin includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and great room. The interior finishes include stained concrete flooring, wood millwork, and exposed western red cedar timber rafters.
