Jenks Early Childhood Center

GH2 designed the 16,750 square foot Jenks Public Schools early childhood facility for pre-k through two-year olds. The eight-classroom facility is complete with kitchen, administrative offices, large teacher collaboration workroom and conference room. A large motor skills room allows for indoor activities in a playful open space outside of the classroom environment. Each pair of classrooms shares a common student toilet and teacher support area.

Exterior access from each classroom to the outdoor play areas allows students to move easily within a secure environment. The exterior play area emphasizes natural play and discovery through an array of textures and colors including plants, natural stone, play equipment, and a variety of stimulating safety surfaces. Once students and parents are admitted through the secure front access controlled entry, they experience soft curves, vibrant colors and open views throughout the building.
