GH2 provided master planning and design services for the redevelopment of the WestWorld of Scottsdale multi-use entertainment center, owned by the City of Scottsdale. WestWorld is a well-regarded facility that hosts large equestrian and multi-use events in a variety of venues. GH2 conducted a thorough market and user analysis, and a complete economic feasibility and impact analysis of current and future conditions. Working with local partner URS, GH2 completed conceptual master planning and design of the improved, expanded and new facilities that was completed and approved by the Scottsdale City Council in 2003 with an estimated cost of $90 million.
Subsequent to the planning approval, GH2 worked with the City on other new construction projects. With team partner TVS, schematic design was completed for a large, enclosed multi-use facility. GH2 also completed two outdoor fabric covered arenas, a show office, and a major site infrastructure and parking improvement project.
